New York City streets, one victim says she was pummeled so hard she suffered a broken jaw. School bus aide Dulche Pichardo, 57, said she was heading home from work in Brooklyn around 5pm on Tuesday when a man sucker punched her in the face and caused her to fall backward. ‘He just punched me on the right side here, very strong,’ Pichardo told PIX11 on Thursday. ‘I was surprised. I said, ‘What’s going on? Why did you hit me? Why did you do it?’ I didn’t do anything. CCTV shows the suspect ignoring a man walking close by and punching Pichardo, who stumbles backward. ‘He broke everything here,’ she told ABC 7. ‘Everything broke.’ Pichardo had three teeth knocked out and sustained permanent damage to her lower lip. Her mouth is wired shut due to several fractures and she may need surgery. For the next six weeks, she will only be able to drink food from a straw. Her brother, who owns a restaurant across the street from where she was attacked on Grand Avenue and Dean Street in Crown Heights, managed to chase the suspect down.
